I love the idea that omegas went through a lot of the challenges that women went through as far as being given responsibility in the military and (gasp!) command. It's partly the challenge of proving that you are more than a stereotype (weak, emotionally labile, too submissive). A lot of these things apply to the fictional omega the same way they have applied to women through the years.
