I can't believe I spent that much money in one day. Wow.

I bought:
- Seven new bras, two pair of jeans and a shirt, all on sale from Lane Bryant
- The new Loveless, Iono-Sama no Fanatics and two Fumi Yoshinaga manga (love her!)
- Season 4 box of Naruto (Hey, everyone's allowed a guilty pleasure)
- DVD of Hairspray (Yay John Waters), and a horor movie named Reincarnation
- The Game of the Year Edition of The Longest Journey & Dreamfall (Loved TLJ, have my doubts about Dreamfall (no Cortez). It'll be nice to have TLJ on a DVD instead of 4 CDs though)
- Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil 2, SMT: Devil Summoner and SMT Persona3
- Echo Night Beyond (Ghosts ... in ... Space!!!!!)
- 5 bottles of Ramune for export back to Berlin

The nice thing about my job is that I can work two extra days and all of that stuff will be payed for with change left over. I'm off to watch Hairspray ...

I just bought Enzai and Zettai Fukuju Meirei, and I must say that I'm serously getting into the magical world of yaoi PC gaming. Unfortunately, there aren't that many that have been translated into English. Meh.
Manga I'm reading:
After School Nightmare - This series is pretty fucked-up.
Loveless - Volume 6 is out! Yay!
Kizuna, Love Mode, Haru wo Daiteita - New volumes coming out soon!
Driving to Concord tomorrow to pick up the new Loveless and the Naruto season 4 box. Rock Lee is my hero. He has sexy eyebrows.

I'm on vacation, camping. It's relaxing, but I do kind of miss my PS2. I did pick up Odin Sphere to play when I get back, though. It looks shiny and has sprites! I'm gonna hit Tokyo Kid later this week to spend mad amounts of cash on my bad habits. They always have the lastest english yaoi releases, so I always find something. I also wanna see if the Wagamama noodle shop opened up yet. *drools*

Just watched Koi Kaze. Whoa. That was pretty freaky. I liked it, though. Even if the ending is kind of "huh?"
Been spending some time playing Rogue Galaxy, which I thought I'd hate, but actually am really enjoying. I like Simon yelling "It's FAR! It's too flippin' FAR!"
I accidentally read Brittney Spear's blog. It was an accident, really. All I can say is that it really sucks two kids have that narcissistic, self-pitying tramp for a mother.

Going to Boston for the weekend, gonna take in the Bruins v. Flyers with a friend. Please god I hope the B's don't lose. Those tix are fucking expensive. I have high hopes, because Philadelphia sucks this year.

Got my copy of Katamari, and from what little I've been able to play, I can say this with authority: this game is a mite touched in the head. Me likee. There's something perversely enjoyable about rolling a giant ball made out of caramels, takoyaki, swans, road signs, thumbtacks, mice, people, kitty-cats, pachinko balls ....

...ahem...

Sleep, then work, then bye-bye Berlin.

^___^

I'm still sick. Had to call into work last night. My voice keeps going out on me, and I'm still coughing up a lung.

That didn't stop me from finishing both Space Channel 5 games over the holiday. Now I'm searching for the SC5 part two soundtracks. If anyone knows where I can get them, (originals, burned copies, anything) do tell. I'm desperate for that music. Thank you [livejournal.com profile] purple_chan ^_____^

I broke down and ordered a copy of Katamari Damashi. It was the description that did it for me. Someone called it "cracked" and "obviously a product of mixing drugs and alcohol." Sounds like my kind of game.
akainagi: (ulala)
I will beat Space Channel Five before the day is out.
*glares at her playstation*

I have the whole weekend off, so I've been taking the time to play some Final Fantasy XII.
It's actually not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I thought the battle engine was going to be the kiss of death, but it has really grown on me. And of course, I've had by yaoi pairing for this one picked out from the very beginning.

VaanxBash. Aaaaaaaaw, yeah. The big, butch (hot) warrior type with the totally effemenate sissy boy.

I am *so* predictable, ne?
akainagi: (wtf)
HOLY SHIT! I just saw the starting prices for the Playstation 3. Get ready ...

$499-$599

You gotta be fucking joking.
That is a rediculous amount of money for a video game console. I will probably end up getting one eventually, but not right away like I originally intended to. This is gonna take some saving up, and as I make a decent amount of money, that's saying something. That's just way too much money. I could buy a new computer for that. It's like a month's rent.

In other news, I got the low-down on Final Fantasy 12, and it looks like a bitter dissapointment. They've revamped the battle system to make it more "real-time" (I hate that word) and stylized even the moogles so they're unrecognizable. The venerable Nobuo Uematsu will be doing only the theme this time, and all the other music will be handled by this other dude I've never heard of. I've seen pictures of some of the characters and all I have to say is this: Scantily clad BUNNY GIRLS? HAVE YOU NO SHAME? I thought FFx-2 was a dud, but so far it looks like the greatest game of all time compared to this.

What shitty weather. We are supposed to be celebrating graduation with a big barbecue outside at the tech, but it has been raining for a week and a half straight. And it doesn't look like it's gonna let up anytime soon. I know it's under a tent, but the turnout sucks and it's just not as fun.
I played the Gakuen Heaven game this past week, and even though I couldn't really inderstand it well d/t my pathetic grasp of kanji, I managed to get the Kazuki/Keita smutty ending on the second run-through. Go me. I love GH and its cute boys.
I also watched the bootleg of the Silent Hill movie I got off of bittorrent. It was good in parts (like the fact that I could totally femslash Rose and Cybil) and the effects were great. But the dialogue was clunky, the child playing Sharon was not a very good pick, and I could have actually done with LESS explanation. And I thought the plot could have been better. It was enjoyable, though, I guess.
Whoops. Gotta go. Having some pics taken.

In the middle of studying for finals playing Magna Carta. The icons ain't very good. The game ain't even that great. Calintz and Azel, however, are HAWT! Azel has that whole wide-eyed, innocent, hero-worship look that just makes me squee.

Wow. Long time no-post. I just have to share my review of the latest in the Fatal Frame saga, probably my all-time favorite game series ever.

So I was all psyched when I got my copy in the mail. I unwrapped it like someone posessed, shoved it in my PS2, practically shaking with anticipation of being scared out of my wits, and proceeded to blow a weekend playing straight through. The graphics are still top-notch, the sound is still pee-yourself-creepy, the ending theme is another Amano Tsukiko masterpiece.

That being said, I was quite let down.

The low-down on a low game )
