Misaki: "It must be nice to be in a relationship."
Usagi: "We are in a relationship."
Misaki: "We are?!?"
Usagi: "Why are you so shocked? We live together, eat together, sleep together. I mess you up in particular places. We thrust things in and out. And finally -"
Misaki: "Don't say it!!!"

Poor Misaki. Repeated sexual escapades with Usagi-san does in fact make you gay. But cheer up! At least you're on the bottom and Usagi-san has to do all the work.

On the RL front, I am once again gainfully employed full-time. It's awesome, because maybe I'll be less broke, but it seriously cuts into my writing time. How am I supposed to get any serious fangirling done now? Tch.

I guess that's what they make weekends for, eh?

I can't believe I spent that much money in one day. Wow.

I bought:
- Seven new bras, two pair of jeans and a shirt, all on sale from Lane Bryant
- The new Loveless, Iono-Sama no Fanatics and two Fumi Yoshinaga manga (love her!)
- Season 4 box of Naruto (Hey, everyone's allowed a guilty pleasure)
- DVD of Hairspray (Yay John Waters), and a horor movie named Reincarnation
- The Game of the Year Edition of The Longest Journey & Dreamfall (Loved TLJ, have my doubts about Dreamfall (no Cortez). It'll be nice to have TLJ on a DVD instead of 4 CDs though)
- Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil 2, SMT: Devil Summoner and SMT Persona3
- Echo Night Beyond (Ghosts ... in ... Space!!!!!)
- 5 bottles of Ramune for export back to Berlin

The nice thing about my job is that I can work two extra days and all of that stuff will be payed for with change left over. I'm off to watch Hairspray ...

I just bought Enzai and Zettai Fukuju Meirei, and I must say that I'm serously getting into the magical world of yaoi PC gaming. Unfortunately, there aren't that many that have been translated into English. Meh.
Manga I'm reading:
After School Nightmare - This series is pretty fucked-up.
Loveless - Volume 6 is out! Yay!
Kizuna, Love Mode, Haru wo Daiteita - New volumes coming out soon!
Driving to Concord tomorrow to pick up the new Loveless and the Naruto season 4 box. Rock Lee is my hero. He has sexy eyebrows.

Oooooh. I just discovered Bump of Chicken. And by "just" I mean 5 minutes ago. I like, I like. I hadn't known they were the ones to do the Tales of the Abyss OP.

I have plans to go down to Concord on Monday, want to to get some manga shopping in. I'm really hoping I don't have to cancel my plans to go to a funeral. Shopping would be so much more pleasant.

I've been diversifying my manga tastes lately, although they are still heavily on the gay side of the tracks. I just finished Saikano, and it really knocked my socks off. Much better than the show. I've also gotten into older yaoi series like Level C and Kizuna. Right now I'm in the middle of reading Excel Saga, which is just getting weirder by the page.

Not looking forward to my weekend at work. We're really short because of vacations and babies popping out and such. Thank god I'm not in charge, that's all I've got to say.

Yay manga

I have discovered Love Mode, and it is the cutest thing ever.

Manga I picked up at Tokyo Kid:
Fake
Gravitation
Love Mode
Kizuna
La Esperanca
Only the Ring Finger Knows
Yellow
Lovely Sick
Passion
Gorgeous Carat

My Fake, Gravi and Yellow collections are now complete. I really enjoyed the first volume of Lovely Sick (I guess I have a Doctor/Patient fixation or something). My best find was Love Mode, though. I just love Izumi telling Takamiya "You better take responsibility for turning me gay" *snicker*

I might have to pick up a couple extra days of work to pay for it, but what the hell. It's worth it. I thought the store clerk's eyes were gonna bug out when he saw how much I was spending ^____^

Good yaoi manga I've been reading lately:

Jazz
Oooooooh, I love this one. Emotional to the point of toxicity, but that's what I like. The fourth (and last) book comes out this month. I can't wait to see how they resolve all this angst. It features a doctor-patient realtionship between two emotionally f***ed-up men.

Haru wo Daiteita a.k.a. Embracing Love
Youka Nitta is a freaking GOD. I love the way she draws men. Totally beautiful without being femme. I have her artbook Kiss of Fire, which was so sublime I nearly ruined it with drool. Her sex scenes are pretty detailed, which can often be a turn off for me. From her though, I eat it up. And I marvel over the fact that a story featuring two porn stars can be so emotionally involving.

Same Cell Organism
High-school-boys-in-love and the like. The stories are cute without being corny and I really like the artwork. The story about the angel is a little strange, though.

Seven
Another one where I quite enjoyed the the artwork. The plot seemed a little shallow to me, but it was involved enough for me to enjoy it. I have a soft spot for the emotionally insecure uke, Nana.

Fake
I love the comic flavor to this one. I'm not necessarily in love with the way it's drawn, and it not as emotional as most of my truly favorite manga, but it's very enjoyable. I like relationships with some lead time, and this one has about six volumes of buildup before Dee and Ryo finally do the deed.

I'm also following Il Gatto Sul G and La Esperanca. And Loveless, of course. I'm looking forwart to reading Lovely Sick when it comes out in America. I'm also looking to get my hands on Yellow and Gorgeous Karat as well when I go down to Boston this weekend.

I saw one of the Viewfinder series on sale the other day and immediately thought of [livejournal.com profile] 4everinblujeans ^__^

On a totally different note, we're supposed to get slammed with 15 inches of now and 30mph winds tomorrow. *heads off to the fridge to make sure she has enough beer to last for two days*

Here's a master list of all the cool shit I picked up in civilization on vacation:

From Tokyo Kid (in Harvard Square) I got:
Jazz Manga vols. 1-3
Parasite Eve Soundtrack
Space Channel 5 Soundtrack (OMFG I can't believe I found this on the shelves)

From Barnes & Noble (in Saugus) / Borders (in Concord) I got:
Bleach Manga vols.1-5 & 7-16 (I went to three stores and couldn't find vol. 6)
Loveless Manga vols. 1-3
Full Moon wo Sagashite vols 1-4, 6, & 7

From GameStop (in Saugus) I got:
Red Ninja for PS2

From the B's Pro Shop in Boston I got:
A set of Bruins dog tags
A new key chain
A replica of Ray Bourque's retired number

From Suncoast (in Peabody) I got:
In the Mouth of Madness (I love that movie!)

I have corrupted my friend Kayla even further. Not only have I turned her on to Playstation 2, now she's buying MANGA! *sobs* I'm so proud of her!

If anyone has a local Border's, they are selling their Viz manga (Bleach, FMA, etc.) for buy three get one free. It's sweet! I made out like a cheap bandit hooker.

And the Bruins won 4-3 Saturday against the abysmally-poor-this-year Flyers, though the Bruins did not exactly play a stellar game. They gave up odd-man rushes all over. And their defense looks like it could use some more talent or steroids or a blow job or something, because I was not impressed. They could have won by a larger margin. But a win is a win, expecially when you spent $60+ a piece for tix. So I'm happy.

Just came back from a couple day's vacation in Boston. It's such a let-down coming back to this podunk after enjoying civilization for a while.
While I was in civilization I made the mistake of picking up a copy of Legal Drug in Barnes and Noble (they have those in civilization). Now I'm hooked. Which is a shame, seeing as how it's really a flirty little whore of a manga. It insinuates all these lovely shounen-ai sentiments, but you know it's never gonna deliver the goods. Total cock-tease. But it is pretty. And total yaoigirl fantasy fodder.
