Got a bite ... sort of

Finally had a job offer from someplace I would actually *want* to work. Unfortunatly, the job is not for the 32hr position I interviewed for, but it's crappier 24hr cousin. I'm still deciding if I'm going to take it. It's in Somerville, MA, which is on top of Boston. Rents are obscene, but there would be lots to do. Unfortunately I would also be without internet for the first few weeks of the transition because I'll be living in pretty much a rooming house until I decide I really want to keep the job and find myself a real apartment. So it looks like, for the second time in my life, I'll be moving out of my mother's house.
On a more accomplished note http://www.akainagi.com has been revamped and looks much much better, anyone who can spare a minute to take a peek and leave me some feedback would brighten up my weekend no end.
It's gonna be a stinky working weekend too. I picked up the holiday for the time and a half.
But I resolved this morning that as soon as a finished redoing the website, I was going to start back in on Kataomoi, my unfinished RoyEd. The plotbunnies seem to be in agreement too, so maybe I'll actually get something done. It would help me take my mind of my job-angst.

Date: 2006-09-02 03:05 pm (UTC)The problem with jobs is that no one wants to hire new grads for full time jobs. They want us all to be part time, unbenefitted whores. Thankfully, this job is at least benefitted. If I didn't think that I could pick up extra time, I wouldn't even consider it. I already found a cheap B&B where I can stay for a month while I look for a decent place.
And I'll get to be near my family again (the ones that don't piss me off). Especially my Great Aunt, who is like 94 and, let's face it, won't be around forever.
