I love the notion that being in close quarters with an Alpha would bring an Omega's heat on early. That made me think about all sorts of complications in this universe. Like, for instance, roommates at the Academy. Would the people in charge put only likes together? Would two Alphas kick the shit out of each other as roommates? Or would they even know? Is it listed in people's records "what" they are? Does someone's classification (or whatever the word for it is) influence The POwers That Be as to what occupations they're suitable for? So many interesting things to think about. To me, this is what makes good sci fi: the "what ifs" of a situation like this. So, not only is this a good friendship-to-romance (yes, I've looked ahead, at Word Wars, LOL) story, but it's also awesome speculative fiction on top of that. I'm not just thinking about getting to the hot parts; I'm constantly thinking about the "what-ifs." And yeah, boys,
