Name a fandom and I'll tell you which character I most likely:
1. bake cupcakes for:
2. trust with the keys to my car:
3. put thumbtacks on the chair thereof:
4. have a crush on:
5. pack up and leave if they moved next door:
6. vote for President:
7. pick as my partner in a buddy movie:
8. pair up:
9. vote off the island and into the volcano:
10. wheedle into fixing my MP3 player:
Fandoms: FMA, Star Trek (AOS, TNG or TOS), Buffy, MMPR, Adventures of Sinbad (TV), Tin Man, Alice (SyFy), Alice (Burton's), Babylon 5, Hetalia, Kyou Kara Maou, Doctor Who, and any other fandom you've heard me ramble about. ^_^
And My fellow Americans: don't forget to vote today! A little time today is worth four years tomorrow.

Democracy and plotbunnies
Nov. 5th, 2012 07:30 pmI'm jacked up for the election tomorrow, even if half my facebook peeps have defriended me for my political posts. 0_o But I'm disturbed by the number of people who say they're not voting. I know we're all busy, but you've got to live with the outcome of this for four years, ppl!
Okay, now that the political posturing is done, on to the random plotbunnies.
Kirk/McCoy (Trek AOS crossed with Darker than Black) – Jim is a contractor in a world where the existence of contractors is not public knowledge. His contract power is the destruction of his enemies from the inside when he places his hands on them. His obeisance, or contract price, is kissing (yes, kissing) another person. For those who aren't familiar with DtB, contractors are basically human killing machines who have to pay their contract price every time the make a kill - More info HERE. Jim hasn't used his power on a human since Tarsus. But after an away mission goes south, he has to choose between letting Bones die, or using his power to kill their enemies. When Bones finds out what his friend is capable of, he is horrified. Oh, the angst.
Kirk/McCoy (AOS) - Jim runs into a young couple he knows from his pre-academy days. He lets it slip to Bones that one of them is an old flame of his, possibly the only one he was ever serious about. Bones mistakenly thinks Jim's former lover is the woman. Turns out it's the man. Big surprise for Bones, who was operating under the assumption that Jim was 100% straight. Will Bones do anything with this newfound bit of intelligence?
On a related note, I'm finally getting somewhere with my
space_wrapped. Time travel is like the greatest plot device ever. And for once I'm putting our boys somewhere other than San Francisco or New York City.
AND OH HAPPINESS! I should get my invite to AO3 next week, so I can join the rest of my fanfic writing compatriots. I am disproportionately excited about this.

Lazy Saturday on the (plotbunny) farm
Nov. 3rd, 2012 12:05 pmDoing some edits on past fics today. Mostly trying to work on my
space_wrapped without getting distracted by WIP's or extraneous plotbunnies or prompt fills or the second season of Darker than Black. Damn my obsession with pretty men with other men and pretty women with other women and pretty animation.
So in the interest of not getting eaten by my plotbunnies, I am going to vent a few of them now:
Kirk/McCoy (AOS) – A mix of two requests over at
buckleup_meme. One is that Jim and Bones adopt a teenager, the other is that Jim makes a deal with Pike who (somehow) helps Jim get custody of his kid in exchange for joining 'fleet. My bunny is that Jim is not 13/14 during the Tarsus genocide, but 17/18. Once he returns to Earth and recovers physically, he has to fight for custody of his only remaining cousin from Tarsus, who has no other relatives willing to take in him/her. Jim makes a deal with Pike that if Pike will help him with the custody (i.e. vouch for his character, etc.), Jim will join 'fleet once his cousin reaches a certain age (say 13 or so because Jim doesn't want to leave him/her alone during his/her more formative years). The result is that when Kirk joins 'fleet, he has a teenager in tow. I would love to see how having to raise an older child effected jim from ages 18-22 when he joins up, and how a teenaged dependent affects his relationship with Bones. Can you tell I love kid!fics?
Kirk/McCoy (AOS) - A very basic bunny. Isn't time travel like the best plot device ever? Jim and Bones are stuck in the 20th century. In fact, they are stuck there for so long that they begin the relationship they were unable to embark upon on the Enterprise (either because of regulations, because of fear of compromising their working relationship/frienship, etc.). Then they are rescued, and have to decide whether they will continue to be lovers, or whether they will go back to being "just friends." I'm sure you know which side I'm rooting for. Oh, the angst.
Kirk/McCoy (AOS) - A very very basic bunny. Jim and bones are stuck on a shuttle, drifting in space. Bones' worst nightmare. ("It's the fear of dying in something that flies!") Jim's not having the best day either. But neither of them can fault the company.
I'm looking forward to voting in the election on Tuesday. Hope all my fellow Americans are too. But first, the weekend!
