Well, I made it back from my so-called "vacation." It was a totally unpleasant experience that wasted my spring break nearly completely. So now I have a large paper to write before Monday, which wouldn't be so bad if I didin't have to work every night of the weekend. And then I go back to school.
I wish I was an orphan. Or better yet I wish I had the fortitute to tell my mother, once and for all, to go f**k herself. But whenever I come close she starts with the guilting and the screaming and the crying and the your-just-like-your-father-ing. And I buy into the whole "I ruined my life for you" trip once again and do what she wants.
And that was my spring break, ladies and gentlemen.
And I was really hoping to find episode 62 of KKM out when I got back, but still nothing. And AK has just started on a new project on top of everying, so It could be a while. Apparently they have never heard of starting what you finish before taking on something else.

I'm sorry that your break was anything but one. Good luck juggling the paper with the job.

As for KKM 62, I've also heard fourth or fifth hand, possibly through one of the comms, that the subbers don't even like the series, although whether that was more a "we appreciate what they're doing even if it's taking a long time since they don't like it" or a "it takes longer to work on a chore you despise" vein, I don't recall. I know that it's licensed, but it's been licensed for a while now and it's not stopped them before, and the licensed DVDs are only up to 27 (and yes, I've purchased the first six DVDs). I'd like to see the rest of the series this year but I'm not holding my breath.

I could see that as a plausible reasons, but I just don't understand how someone could undertake the fansubbing of a 78 episode series that they didn't like. Thrteen episodes, maybe; bite the bullet and you're done. But KKM is a long series. Unless you're a fan. Then it wasn't anywhere near long enough.
I'm not too worried. It's a popular enough show that if AK/AO dropped it, some group would pick it up. Maybe not the caliber of AK (whose work I realy admire despite their heel dragging), but someone. I can't see myself shelling out for the DVD's, though. When they come out with a perfect set, I'm definitely in on that, but not for buying them individually. Costs way too much.

About halfway done with that f***ing paper.
*sigh*
I'd rather be at work than doing this. And that's saying something.
